Read tales of my travels and holidays spent in exciting, occasionally precarious, places around the globe. During the last fifty years I have had the pleasure of visiting over sixty countries throughout this awe-inspiring world of ours.

These short anecdotes are written in prose and rhyme, some are in a jolly mode, some are true-to-life whilst others are quite musical and rhythmical. I have travelled to Australia and listened to great singers performing in the impressive Sydney Opera House, climbed Table Mountain in South Africa from where I could see Robben Island Prison, stared in amazement at Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and sat in Buddhist Temples next to Thai monks in Bangkok. With trepidation I entered the amazing Kremlin, Moscow. Gazed up at the Acropolis in Athens under a hot brilliant sun.

Happily, I joined Carnival crowds in Rio de Janeiro who were dancing the Samba day and night to the incessant beating of drums. I can never forget the first time I saw the great Pyramids of Egypt. I’ve had hours of enjoyment at Disney World, Florida and gambled in Las Vegas, Nevada. Standing with Jews at the ‘Wailing Wall’ was a totally different experience, as was traditional haggling with Arab street traders in Morocco and Tunisia. Former British territories of Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia all have their unique appeal. New Zealand has its remarkable Geysers and lavish scenery.

Europe naturally holds so many eternally happy memories for me; Barcelona, Heidelberg, Paris, Prague, Copenhagen, Rome, Salzburg, Dublin, Brussels, Gibraltar, Cannes, Monte Carlo are places I love to visit, also the picturesque Spanish Islands where millions of Welsh, Scottish, Irish and English tourists flock to holiday each year. There they relax on those splendid golden beaches and soak up the warm sunshine. Our own British historic cities and the not to be forgotten beautiful mountains and valleys of my birthplace Wales are highly recommended. The differing cultures and friendliness of people throughout the world has much to offer any traveller.

You will find photographs I have taken on my travels, giving the reader a sensation of awareness, almost a ‘being there’ feeling. These original tales, I trust, will be amusing as well as revealing.

Read on my friends. You may have visited one or more of these places yourself and would like to contact me about your own interesting travel discoveries worldwide.
